As a Clinical Laboratory Scientist III, you will be responsible for:

• Performing complex medical laboratory tests for diagnosis and treatment of disease.
• Analyzing and ensuring the accuracy of test results.
• Maintaining complex instruments and monitoring quality control and quality assurance programs.
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and managing special projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform specimen processing and testing independently, including moderate and high complexity testing. Analyze test results and ensure accuracy.
• Evaluate and implement new methods, instrumentation, and technology based on customer needs, cost-benefit analysis, and revenue considerations.
• Ensure compliance with accrediting agencies and serve as a resource within and outside the department.
• Manage assigned projects, develop plans, coordinate resources, set timelines, and report progress.
• Practice quality control management, including running controls, evaluating data, documenting, and taking corrective actions.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment, troubleshoot issues, and take corrective actions as needed.

Qualifications:

• Minimum Education: Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a clinical laboratory setting.

Licenses and Certifications:

• MT(ASCP), MLS(ASCP), MT(AMT), MT(AAB), CLS(NCA), MT(HEW), MLT(ASCP), or MLT(HEW). Certification is waived for those with over 10 years of lab experience.
