Responsibilities:

• Perform complex medical laboratory tests for diagnosis and treatment of disease, ensuring accurate test results.
• Maintain and troubleshoot complex laboratory instruments.
• Monitor quality control and assurance programs to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Manage special projects and ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements.

What You Will Do:

• Perform specimen processing and testing independently, including moderate and high complexity tests, ensuring accuracy of results.
• Evaluate and implement new methods, instrumentation, and technology based on customer needs, cost-benefit analysis, and revenue potential.
• Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and serve as a resource within and outside the department.
• Manage projects from planning through completion, coordinating resources and timelines.
• Practice quality control management, documenting data, and taking corrective actions as needed.
• Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot equipment issues proactively.

Qualifications:

• Associates degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a Clinical Laboratory setting.

Licenses and Certifications:

• MT(ASCP), MLS(ASCP), MT(AMT), MT(AAB), CLS(NCA), MT(HEW), MLT(ASCP), MLT(HEW). Certification is waived for those with 10+ years of laboratory experience.
