Role Responsibilities

As a Clinical Laboratory Scientist II, you will be responsible for performing complex medical laboratory tests for diagnosis and treatment of disease, ensuring accurate test results, maintaining sophisticated instruments, and monitoring quality control and quality assurance programs.

Key Duties

• Perform specimen processing and testing independently, including moderate and high complexity tests, and analyze test results for accuracy.
• Understand, perform, and maintain preventive measures on equipment; troubleshoot and take corrective actions as needed.
• Manage quality control processes, evaluate data, document findings, and communicate relevant information to supervisors.
• Evaluate and recommend new methods, instrumentation, and technology based on customer needs, cost-benefit analysis, and revenue potential.
• Ensure compliance with accrediting agencies and serve as a resource internally and externally.
• Manage assigned projects, develop plans, coordinate resources, set timelines, and keep management informed of progress.

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent with 15 years of clinical lab experience, OR
• Associate's Degree with at least 2 years of clinical lab experience, OR
• Bachelor’s Degree with clinical lab experience preferred.

Minimum licensing and certification include one of the following: MT(ASCP), MLS(ASCP), MT(AMT), MT(AAB), CLS(NCA), MT(HEW), CLT(NCA), MLT(ASCP), or MLT(AMT) (waived for those with 5 years of lab experience).
