Role Responsibilities

• Perform specimen processing and testing independently, including moderate and high complexity tests.
• Analyze test results, demonstrating knowledge of pathological processes and correlating disease states.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment, troubleshoot, and take corrective actions.
• Practice quality control, including running controls, evaluating data, documenting, and taking corrective actions as needed. Communicate QC information to supervisors or lead techs.
• Take responsibility for personal development and meet competency requirements.
• Provide technical information about test results to physicians, nurses, and patients. Serve as a resource to others.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent) with 4 years of clinical lab experience, or
• Associate's Degree from an accredited MLT training program, or
• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited CLS program.
