Job summary

BayCare Health System, Laboratory Services – BRMC, is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Scientist I to perform diagnostic testing and quality control in Bartow, FL. This on-site, part-time role supports a busy laboratory team and contributes to accurate and timely patient results.

Responsibilities include preparing reagents, reporting results, reviewing moderate- to high-complexity testing, maintaining equipment and software, and ensuring compliance with quality standards.

Qualifications

• Association’s degree in Medical Technology or related field is required.
• Florida license is required for the role.
• Minimum of four months of clinical laboratory experience is required.

• Perform diagnostic testing and quality control procedures.
• Prepare reagents and report laboratory results.
• Review moderate- to high-complexity testing.
• Monitor and maintain laboratory computer applications.
• Maintain equipment, instruments and supply inventory.

? Schedule: Part Time | On-site

? Status: Non-Exempt | Non-Benefit Eligible

? Weekend Requirement: Every Other Saturday

Role Overview

As a Clinical Laboratory Scientist I, you will perform essential diagnostic testing and quality control procedures supporting accurate and timely patient results. This role includes moderate‑ to high‑complexity testing, maintaining laboratory systems and equipment, prepping reagents, and contributing to a smooth, efficient laboratory workflow.
