Job Title: Clinical Laboratory Scientist (Generalist)

Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a part-time Clinical Laboratory Scientist to conduct high-complexity urine drug screens and confirmations on LC/MS instruments, as well as infectious disease testing. There is potential to move to full-time.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science, or medical technology from an accredited institution
• Minimum of 2+ years of prior work experience in a CLIA-certified laboratory
• Valid CLS license
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft and Google suites

Responsibilities:

• Utilize technical knowledge of laboratory testing and terminology to ensure accuracy in test results
• Perform analysis, process data, and release patient test results following Standard Operating Procedures
• Conduct clinical molecular genetic testing, high-complexity urine drug screens, and confirmations on LC/MS instruments
• Adhere to and review quality control policies, documenting all activities
• Evaluate test results for accuracy and assist physicians with interpretation
• Demonstrate knowledge of laboratory procedures and multitasking skills
• Communicate effectively and pay attention to detail in cross-referencing information and prioritizing tasks
• Ensure test reports contain pertinent information for patient interpretation
• Maintain compliance with PPE, hazardous waste disposal, and IT security policies
• Participate in test method validation and verification for accuracy and precision
• Document corrective actions when test systems deviate from performance specifications
