Job summary

Essentia Health is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician or Scientist for St. Mary's Hospital in Superior, WI. The role involves performing tests of all complexity levels per CLIA and reporting results to aid diagnosis and treatment across ages.

The position includes QA/QC duties, instrumentation maintenance, phlebotomy, and potential research involvement, with eligibility for MLS/ASCP certifications within one year of hire.

Qualifications

• MLT requires associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technician or CLIA equivalent.
• MLS requires four-year CLS degree or ASCP MLS with two years lab experience and MLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform and report tests of all complexity levels per CLIA on patients of all ages.
• Participate in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, instrumentation maintenance and troubleshooting.
• May perform phlebotomy and specimen processing duties and participate in research and education.
