Job summary

Qualifications

U.S. citizenship and English proficiency required.
Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field in medical technology.
Certification as MLS/MT or categorical/specialist per ASCP/AMT.
GS-7/9/11 grade criteria based on experience or education.
Master's degree or 2 academic years of graduate education in medical technology or related science.

Responsibilities

Knowledge of policies and procedures of clinical laboratory testing.
Knowledge of laboratory quality control and QA principles.
Knowledge of laboratory equipment and routine maintenance.
Ability to work as a team member and effectively complete assignments.
Ability to read and interpret written instructions.
Ability to perform pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical phases of testing.
