Job summary

Summary

About the Position: This position is located at Martin Army Community Hospital, Fort Benning, Georgia. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Student Loan repayment may be authorized.

Major Duties

Performs clinical laboratory testing of human blood, urine, and other body fluids or tissues using manual or automated techniquesProvides technical guidance and quality assurance oversight on a full range of processes conducted in the laboratory.Calibrates, standardizes, adjusts, and maintains instrumentsRecommends new or modified procedures be incorporated when appropriate.Trains new staff clinical laboratory scientists/technicians and students in procedures, instrumentation, and workload organization.Performs preventive maintenance for all instruments.
