Job summary

Providence Kodiak Island Medical Center in Kodiak, AK, is seeking a Manager Clinical Laboratory to lead the Laboratory department and ensure high-quality patient care. The role encompasses planning, supervision, and direct oversight of clinical testing, including phlebotomy, within a full-time 1.0 FTE schedule.

Qualified candidates will have aBachelor's degree in a science field, licensure, and 4+ years in high-complexity testing, with LIS experience and healthcare leadership exposure preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemical, Physical, or Biological Science.
• Upon hire: National Laboratory Medical/Clinical Scientist/Technologist.
• Within 30 days of hire: Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
• 4 years training or experience in high complexity testing.
• Experience with Laboratory Information Systems.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and supervise activities of the Laboratory department.
• Conduct clinical diagnostic testing on patients and residents.
• Perform therapeutic phlebotomy and blood draws.
• Foster teamwork and maintain a professional image with patients and staff.
