The University of Miami Health System’s UHealth Laboratories seeks a Clinical Laboratory Assistant 1 to support routine lab operations. You will identify, accession, and process patient specimens, ensuring accurate data entry and timely communication of results in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include maintaining logs, inventory, and cleanliness, while adhering to HIPAA and safety standards. Evening/night/weekend coverage is required as needed.

Formación

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• No prior experience required.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsabilidades

• Identify, handle, and accession patient samples.
• Transport specimens and communicate test results timely.
• Process specimens (centrifugation, aliquoting, volume measurement).
• Maintain required laboratory files and logs.
• Perform data entry in the Laboratory Information System (LIS).
• Maintain inventory and keep work areas clean and organized.
