Seattle Roots Community Health is seeking a Lab Technologist to perform laboratory tests and analyses to support patient diagnosis and treatment. This role operates and maintains laboratory equipment, ensuring accurate and timely test results while adhering to safety and quality standards.

You will collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver reliable data, report results clearly, and participate in quality control initiatives.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (required).
• Certification as Medical Laboratory Technologist (ASCP) (required).
• Commitment to ongoing education to maintain licensure.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests on patient samples.
• Operate instruments and ensure tests follow protocols and quality standards.
• Record and analyze test results with data accuracy.
• Calibrate equipment and perform quality control testing.
• Interpret and report results to the healthcare team.
• Maintain documentation for tests and quality control records.
• Ensure compliance with CLIA, OSHA, and HIPAA regulations.
• Participate in quality control and process improvement initiatives.
• Assist in training and supervise lab staff and students.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized laboratory environment.
