Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a clinical laboratory professional to independently perform routine and highly complex laboratory analyses on clinical specimens across multiple sections. Responsibilities include verifying analytic accuracy, operating and maintaining instruments, and mentoring staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an ASCP eligible program is required.
• Certification: MLS/MT or ASCP categorical/specialty where required within 1 year in PA; NY grads within 6 months.
• 1–2 years clinical lab experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and complex lab analyses on clinical specimens.
• Operates, calibrates, checks, and maintains instrumentation.
• Provides oversight and mentoring to ALT/MLT and students.
• Serves as consultant to clinical staff and participates in continuing education.
• May collect/process patient specimens per policy and timelines.
