Responsibilities

• Performs assays of biological specimens according to established policies and procedures, using specific instruments and reagents.

• Maintains and documents equipment preventive maintenance and start-up/shut-down procedures.
• Performs Quality Control and SOP procedures; keeps work area clean and adheres to safety protocols.
• Treats proficiency test samples as patient specimens; performs special test procedures as directed.
• Identifies and reports problems affecting test performance or results; documents corrective actions.
