Job summary

Wellstar is seeking a qualified Medical Laboratory Technologist to perform clinical laboratory testing under supervision, following approved protocols and maintaining equipment and records. You will participate in QA activities, ensure accuracy, and contribute to proficiency testing and competency assessments.

The role requires maintaining current knowledge of Wellstar policies and laboratory safety standards, with strong communication skills to collaborate with the healthcare team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year Laboratory experience required.
• Computer/data entry experience.
• Ability to communicate with various members of the healthcare team.
• Epic experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains acceptable accuracy in patient, quality assurance, proficiency, and competency testing.
• Reports lab data accurately within turnaround times and productivity standards.
• Maintains instrumentation for testing and ensures proper QA documentation.
• Performs QA investigations and documents trends, correct interpretations, and actions.
• Complies with LIS procedures and wellstar safety and conduct standards.
