Job summary

You will analyze body fluids such as blood, urine and tissue samples, record findings, ensure testing adheres to safety and quality guidelines, assist with training, and contribute to continuous improvement while upholding the system's mission and values.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in science in medical laboratory technology or military equivalent.
• MT/MLS/MLT certification registry-eligible and able to obtain it.
• Passing score on certification exam within 6 months of hire.
• Registry cycle delays require notification within one month after next date.
• Experience with laboratory equipment and computer systems.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills required.
• Reliable transportation and ability to rotate to other locations.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of clinical and anatomic pathology laboratory tests under minimal supervision.
• Analyzes body fluids such as blood, urine and tissue samples and records findings.
• Ensures testing adheres to safety, regulatory, and quality control standards.
• Identifies opportunities to improve operating procedures and processes.
• Assists with training of laboratory staff and residents; collaborates with diverse teams.
