Job summary

The MetroHealth System is seeking a part-time Medical Laboratory Scientist for the Cleveland Heights Health Center. You will perform clinical and anatomic pathology tests, analyzing body fluids and ensuring compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards.

Responsibilities include training staff and residents, collaborating with a diverse team, and contributing to the system's mission and patient care excellence. Must be able to rotate to other MetroHealth locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Registry-eligible: NCCLS-approved program or 10 years of lab experience.
• Must have experience with laboratory equipment and computer systems.
• Must have good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Reliable transportation and ability to rotate to other MetroHealth locations.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of Clinical and Anatomic Pathology lab tests under minimal supervision.
• Analyzes body fluids and records findings.
• Ensures testing adheres to guidelines, safety, regulatory, and QC standards.
• Assists with training of laboratory staff and residents.
