Job summary

McLeod Health in Dillon, SC seeks a Medical Laboratory Technologist for the night shift to analyze biological samples and deliver precise test results. The role is on-site with a sign-on bonus and relocation support, aiming to assist clinical staff in diagnosis and treatment.

The position requires CLIA-compliant testing proficiency, certification within six months, and an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory technology.

Qualifications

• Qualified to perform moderate and highly complexity testing per CLIA 88.
• Must obtain MLT/MLS certification within 6 months of hire.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in medical laboratory technology is required.

Responsibilities

• Collect, prepare, store and/or transport specimens using correct techniques and protocol.
• Organize and perform analysis of specimens with quality control and result validity checks.
• Follow all safety procedures and protocols.
• Perform routine and pre-routine maintenance.
• Train and document proficiency of assigned staff and students.
• Receive calls and document requests for blood collection and follow up per standards.
• Assist in maintaining supplies.
• Coordinate daily technical activities and ensure timely, accurate tests by review of worksheets and logs.
• Other duties as assigned.
