Job summary

Lakeview Memorial Hospital is hiring an MLS or MLT to join our Laboratory team as a Partner for Good. The role involves performing and analyzing complex tests with independent judgment under supervision.

Two possible career paths are open: MLS with a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology and MT/CLS/MLS certification (or eligibility within a year), or MLT with an associate degree and MLT certification. Evening hours are included with a 2:45pm–11:15pm schedule and every fourth weekend.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology or related science from an accredited college/university.
• Current certification as MT/CLS/MLS by ASCP, or eligible to obtain within 1 year of start date.
• Must have valid driver’s license per Lakeview’s guidelines.
• Ability to provide instructions and advise other departments on lab procedures.
• Basic leadership capabilities and good organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform and analyze complex medical laboratory tests and procedures with independent judgment under supervision.
• Collaborate with the laboratory team to ensure accurate test results.
• Provide technical instructions and advise other departments on clinical laboratory procedures.
