Job summary

Qualifications

• Six months of technical experience required.
• Three or more years of technical experience preferred.
• Blood Bank experience preferred.
• Good verbal and written communication skills required.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine technical procedures.
• Assist with phlebotomy duties as needed.
• Organize work priorities during shifts.
• Judge specimen adequacy and request re-samples if unsatisfactory.
• Interrupt testing sequence to perform STAT procedures.
• Notify supervisor when workload requires additional personnel.
• Supervise trainees in bench work activities.
• Assist in meeting inspection agency requirements.
• Interact professionally with staff, patients and visitors.
