Job summary

Labcorp in Tampa, FL is seeking a Technologist to join our high-volume clinical laboratory team. You will perform routine and complex procedures, troubleshoot instrumentation and ensure accurate test results to support patient care.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a chemical/biological science and a Florida MT license, with preferred ASCP/AMT certification and 3+ months of lab experience. Day-to-day work includes safety, quality control, and collaboration with your team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a chemical or biological science, clinical laboratory science or medical technology.
• Microbiology MT FL State License.
• ASCP or AMT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria.
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures per SOPs.
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality.
• Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls.
• Report accurate and timely test results to deliver quality patient care.
