Job summary

Wyckoff Heights Medical Center is seeking a Laboratory Technologist to perform technical and non-technical duties in the Stat clinical laboratory under supervision. Duties include maintaining a clean work area, using supplies efficiently, prioritizing urgent requests, and following safety and quality control policies.

The role requires a Bachelor's Degree with at least 1 year of related experience, and NY State CLT certification.

Qualifications

• This position requires a minimum formal education of Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 1 year job-related experience.
• Desired criteria include: BS Chemistry or Biology; 2 years Clinical Chemistry Laboratory experience.
• Current NY State Clinical Laboratory Technologist.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a neat, clean and efficient work area.
• Operates automated instruments and maintains laboratory equipment.
• Performs a variety of laboratory procedures under supervision.
• Performs related duties such as preparing solutions and cleaning glassware.
• Assists supervisor in training students and trainees.
