Job summary

The Medical Technologist will perform complex clinical laboratory testing, evaluate results, operate laboratory instrumentation, and perform required quality-control procedures.

Shifts may be 7:30 AM–4:00 PM, 3:30 PM–12:00 AM, or 11:30 PM–8:00 AM with rotating weekends and Federal holiday coverage as required.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, microbiology, biology, chemistry, or a related field, and current ASCP-BOR or AMT certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, microbiology, biology, chemistry, or a related field.
• Knowledge of high-complexity clinical laboratory testing and quality-control procedures.
• Ability to operate, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform qualitative and quantitative testing on blood, urine, spinal fluid, tissue, and other specimens.
• Operate, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory analyzers and automated systems.
• Perform quality-control testing, verify results, and identify abnormal or critical values.
• Support blood bank, microbiology, specimen preservation, and other assigned laboratory functions.
