Job summary

The Ladgov Corporation in Memphis is seeking a Medical Technologist to perform complex clinical laboratory testing, evaluate results, operate laboratory instrumentation, and implement quality-control procedures.

You will handle blood, urine, spinal fluid, and tissue specimens, calibrate and troubleshoot analyzers, and contribute to blood bank and microbiology support as needed. A CLS/MT certification and a relevant degree are required.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant science.
• Certification as Medical Technologist/CLS (ASCP-BOR or AMT) is required.
• Experience with high-complexity testing and QC procedures preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform qualitative and quantitative testing on blood, urine, CSF, tissue, and other specimens.
• Operate, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory analyzers and automated systems.
• Perform quality-control testing and verify results.
• Support blood bank, microbiology, specimen preservation, and other laboratory functions.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, microbiology, biology, chemistry, or a related field

Current Medical Technologist or Clinical Laboratory Scientist certification (ASCP-BOR or AMT)

Job description

Schedule:

Work may be scheduled during 7:30 AM–4:00 PM, 3:30 PM–12:00 AM, or 11:30 PM–8:00 AM shifts. Rotating weekends and Federal holiday coverage may be required.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, microbiology, biology, chemistry, or a related field.
• Current Medical Technologist or Clinical Laboratory Scientist certification through ASCP-BOR or AMT.
• Knowledge of high-complexity clinical laboratory testing and quality-control procedures.
• Ability to operate, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.

Duties:

• Perform qualitative and quantitative testing on blood, urine, spinal fluid, tissue, and other specimens.
• Operate, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory analyzers and automated systems.
• Perform quality-control testing, verify results, and identify abnormal or critical values.
• Support blood bank, microbiology, specimen preservation, and other assigned laboratory functions.
