Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or related field.
• Certification by ASCP, AMT, or equivalent preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience in a clinical or diagnostic laboratory setting preferred.
• Knowledge of laboratory equipment and safety protocols.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions precisely.

Responsibilities

• Performs and records results of routine tests on various areas of the Clinical Laboratory, adhering to procedures to provide data for diagnosis and treatment.
• Operates and maintains laboratory equipment such as microscopes, centrifuges, spectrophotometers, and other instruments.
• Tests samples to verify conformity to specifications and records test results on standardized forms.
• Calibrates laboratory instruments and ensures quality control.
• Takes blood from patients and properly labeling samples with patient information.
• Maintains diagnostic imaging equipment and materials and positions patients for imaging examinations as ordered.
