Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Clinical/Medical Laboratory Technology program.
• Not board certified by ASCP or AMT.
• Ability to read, write, speak and comprehend English.
• Manual dexterity and fine motor skills; able to stand, walk and sit for long periods.
• Lift up to 50 pounds; carry up to 20 pounds.
• Normal or corrected color vision; good sight and hearing.
• Exposed to biological specimens and hazardous materials; PPE required.
• On-site presence required to perform duties.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic and advanced lab procedures for neonatal to geriatric patients.
• Calibrates, standardizes, operates, maintains, and troubleshoots instruments; performs QC.
• Maintains documentation for all tasks performed in the lab.
• Adheres to infection control and safety practices.
• Provides training and education to others as directed by management.
• Maintains inventory and proper storage of supplies.
• Responds to inquiries about test results, methods, and sensitivity.
