Job summary

Chinese Hospital is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Technician (Non-Testing Personnel) to perform venipuncture, accession specimens in Cerner EMR, and support routine lab operations in the Clinical Laboratory. The role requires flexibility for shift coverage and strict adherence to safety and infection control procedures.

The ideal candidate will hold CPT 1 or CPT 2 certification, be fluent in English and Chinese, and have strong computer skills to manage records and reporting.

Qualifications

• Certification as Phlebotomy Technician (CPT 1 or CPT 2) is required.
• Ability to work nights, evening hours, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts as required.
• Fluent in English and Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Performs venipuncture for inpatients and outpatients.
• Accession specimens in EMR (Cerner Community Works).
• Transports specimens to and from units as required.
• Maintains inventory and cleans work areas.
• Ensures adherence to safety and infection control practices.
