Job summary

Summit Clinical Research Solutions seeks a Laboratory Technician to run day-to-day lab operations in Austin, supporting clinical research activities including specimen collection, processing, and shipping. The role requires organizing multi-tasking and strong communication to ensure high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred with at least 1 year of experience.
• Must be able to work flexible shifts including early/late/weekend shifts.
• Experience in healthcare lab setting and clinical research is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform lab tests and collect subject specimens per study protocol.
• Daily phlebotomy and specimen processing with universal precautions.
• Ship processed specimens to central/local labs timely per manuals.
• Maintain lab documentation, inventory, and equipment records.
• Collaborate with PCR team and lab managers to maintain workflow and safety.
