Job summary

Summit Clinical Research Solutions in Austin, TX is seeking a Laboratory Technician to run day-to-day operations of the lab, collect specimens, process samples, and maintain documentation. The role requires at least 12 months of lab experience in a healthcare setting and the ability to manage prioritization and workflow to meet study timelines.

You will collaborate with the PCR team, support biohazard and shipping procedures, and help maintain equipment and inventory while following CRIO/CTMS

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Certified phlebotomist preferred with at least 1 year of experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must complete CITI and GCP training before interacting with participants.
• Must complete IATA Dangerous Goods Training and re-certify every 2 years.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and CRIO/CTMS.

Responsibilities

• Perform lab tests and collect specimens per study lab manual.
• Daily phlebotomy and specimen processing with proper safety.
• Maintain lab documentation, inventory, and shipping.
• Ship processed specimens to central/local labs timely.
• Track inventory and ensure no expired lab kits on site.
• Maintain clean, safe lab area and equipment, recalibrations as needed.
• Collaborate with PCR team and communicate with staff.
• Adhere to protocols, SOPs, and quality controls.
