Job summary

Duke University Health System Clinical Laboratories in Durham, NC seeks a Clinical Technician II to perform varied laboratory procedures, handle specimen collection, processing, and reporting under CAP/CLIA standards.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of routine and specialized procedures.
  • Prepare and initiate tests including cytogenetics, urinalysis, phlebotomy and specimen management.
  • Obtain totals, aliquot and distribute urine specimens.
  • Label and sort specimen containers and ensure proper identification.
  • Communicate professionally with patients and clinicians for assay results and follow-up.
  • Maintain laboratory records, run order entry, and monitor quality control.
  • Assist with general office tasks and maintain equipment and supplies.
