Job summary

• Prepares specimens for testing including separating specimens for reference labs.
• Inputs reference results into the EHR.
• Orders supplies for the laboratory and prepares supplies for doctor offices.
• Performs low complexity testing in various departments.
• Assists Microbiology with planting and send outs.
• Assists Histology with processing and clerical support.
• Assists Cytology with processing and clerical support.
• Maintains inventory in department.
• Assists Life Scan glucose meters when needed.
• Demonstrates proficiency in computer tasks related to job responsibilities.
• Applies step-by-step problem solving and thinking patterns.
