Job summary

Mercy Health in Springfield, Ohio seeks a Medical Laboratory Technician I (MLT) to perform routine tests on blood, tissues and other specimens, delivering accurate results to physicians while upholding patient safety and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Must have one of the listed educational paths in medical laboratory technology.
• MLT certification or eligible (ASCP preferred).
• Two years of clinical laboratory experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Performs analytical tests on biological specimens per procedures.
• Determines specimen acceptability by inspection or results.
• Performs quality control for all testing.
• Maintains safe, clean work area and monitors equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.
