HealthPartners is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician to support the Maplewood Clinic. The role involves performing high-complexity testing and contributing to patient care and service excellence.

The position requires an associate degree in lab science or medical lab technology and certification eligibility with CLIA compliance. Strong teamwork and English proficiency are essential, with some related experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in lab science or medical lab tech from an accredited institution.
• Certification by ASCP Board of Certification or AMT; if not certified, register within 45 days and obtain within 6 months.
• Qualified to work in a highly complex laboratory under CLIA.
• Promotes teamwork and courteous, cooperative attitude with customers.

Responsibilities

• Collect and process specimens following SOPs.
• Perform testing and verify assay performance per SOP in hematology, microbiology, chemistry, serology, urinalysis, and related areas.
• Document and communicate lab results accurately according to SOP.
• Perform maintenance procedures and ensure adequate supplies.
• Demonstrate compliance with regulatory policies and maintain confidentiality and patient-centered service standards.
• Respond to changes and stressful situations with professionalism and adaptability.
• Pursue continuing education and participate in projects and professional activities.
