Job summary

Buchanan County Health Center is seeking a Medical Lab Technician to perform and coordinate a range of laboratory tests across microbiology, chemistry, urinalysis, serology, hematology, coagulations and some phlebotomy.

The role requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology or a related science (or an associate degree) and board certification (ASCP, NCA, AMT) as MLS/MT/CLS/MLT, plus Basic Life Support. 6 months of clinical lab experience and LIS/automation familiarity are preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology or related field or 2-year Associate’s Degree in Laboratory Science
• Board certification as MLS/MT/CLS/MLT is required
• Basic Life Support required

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and participate in laboratory tests across microbiology, chemistry, urinalysis, serology, hematology, coagulations and phlebotomy
• Obtain data for diagnosis and treatment through accurate laboratory procedures
