Job summary

Parexel in Baltimore, MD seeks a Laboratory Technician for day and weekend shifts on a per diem basis. You will collect and process human specimens, perform diagnostic tests, and ensure proper lab organization and scheduling.

Starting with a thorough induction and training, you will join a fast-paced unit and contribute to accurate sample handling, documentation, and coordination with other departments to drive efficient study execution.

Qualifications

• Experience in a laboratory setting, professional or academic.
• Bachelor's or higher in life sciences, or HS diploma with lab experience.
• Must be able to commute to Baltimore, MD.
• Strong understanding of lab procedures and best practices.
• Customer service experience in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Collect, process and store human specimens per protocol.
• Perform standard diagnostic tests such as pregnancy, urinalysis and drug-of-abuse tests.
• Prepare and organize lab equipment, facilities, documentation and study schedules.
• Identify and solve study-related issues and escalate to supervision as needed.
• Maintain a positive, results-driven environment and collaborate across teams.
