Job summary

Actalent seeks an entry-level Lab Technician to support a clinical biomarker laboratory in a Phase I unit in New Haven, CT. You will handle human specimens, perform bench and desk tasks, and gain hands-on experience in bioanalysis and data documentation.

The role requires a Biology-related bachelor’s degree and 1–3 years’ regulated lab exposure, with 8:00/9:00 AM–5:00 PM hours and a 12-month contract, onsite in New Haven. Benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a biological science or related field.
• 1–3 years of laboratory experience in regulated or clinical labs.
• Accurate pipetting and safe specimen handling.
• Understanding of sterile techniques and lab safety.
• Strong documentation and data integrity practices.

Responsibilities

• Process human biological samples following established procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Manage inventory: monitor stock, order supplies, and store materials.
• Support equipment maintenance and coordinate service when needed.
• Perform quality control reviews of data and documentation.
• Maintain accurate electronic records and audit trails.
• Provide general lab support and organize materials and workflows.
• Handle data entry and documentation tasks for lab operations.
• Balance bench work with desk-based responsibilities to meet timelines.
• Follow sterile techniques and lab safety practices at all times.
• Collaborate with team to support Phase I studies and timelines.
