Job summary

Yale New Haven Health is seeking a laboratory professional to perform a range of clinical testing under supervision of the Laboratory Manager. The role emphasizes accuracy, timely results, and adherence to CHAMP/HRO standards and quality assurance.

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in a Biological Science or related field, ASCP eligibility within two years, and experience or readiness for moderate to high complexity testing. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a Biological Science or related field; transcript review required.
• Eligibility and inherent skillset for moderate complexity testing required.
• Eligibility and inherent skillset for high complexity testing highly preferred.
• ASCP categorical certification eligibility and completion within 2 years of hire highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs a range of laboratory techniques with accuracy and timeliness.
• Maintains quality control and quality assurance standards; participates in proficiency testing.
• Keeps up-to-date with revised procedures and harmonizes testing across shifts.
• Communicates effectively with hospital staff and team members.
