Job summary

Prisma Health in Greenville, SC is seeking a CLIA General Supervisor to conduct and support laboratory testing and ensure accuracy across all testing procedures. The role requires proficiency in high complexity testing, adherence to SOPs, and active participation in quality programs.

The technician will supervise in the absence of leadership, mentor students and staff, and maintain documentation and data entry with strong attention to safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a laboratory science or medical technology field is required.
• Two years of technical experience in high complexity testing.
• CLIA General Supervisor qualification.
• Certification as MLT (ASCP) or MLT (AMT) and state license where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs and QA procedures for all tests.
• Supervise lab sections in absence of supervisor/lead technologist.
• Educate students and staff on procedures and safety.
• Operate and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation.
• Maintain proper specimen collection, labeling, and handling.
• Complete required documentation and data entry.
• Participate in QC/QM activities and inventory management.
• Communicate critical values to healthcare team.
