Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health in Kentucky invites applications for the Medical Laboratory Technician II (MLT). You will perform routine tests on blood and body specimens and provide physicians with accurate results using standard lab equipment.

Qualifications

• Requires AS in Medical Lab Technology or equivalent.
• 60 semester hours including six hours of chemistry and six of biology and completion of an MLT program.
• Completed a 50-week U.S. military medical laboratory training course within the past ten years.

Responsibilities

• Performs analytical tests on biological specimens accurately per procedures.
• Determines acceptability of specimens by visual inspection or recognizing abnormal results.
• Performs quality control and ensures results meet established ranges before release.
• Maintains a safe, efficient work environment by equipment checks and proper cleaning; troubleshoots lab equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.
