Advocate Health is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician at Carolinas Medical Center - Core Lab: Chemistry in Charlotte, NC. The role is full-time, 40 hours per week, with a 1530 to midnight shift and rotating weekends/holidays, offering a competitive pay range.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent education and training required (CLIA).
• MLT registry eligible or equivalent within hire timeframe.
• MLT (ASCP/AMT) certification within one year of hire; military programs acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Follows testing procedures and QA guidelines; documents non-conforming events.
• Prepares reagents and maintains inventory to reduce waste/expense.
• Uses clinical judgment to prioritize work and troubleshoot test systems with appropriate channels.
• Reviews procedures to support accreditation and regulatory compliance (CAP, TJC, OSHA).
• Maintains real-time shift-to-shift communications with leadership about issues affecting patient care or operations.
• Participates in staff meetings and change initiatives; supports project implementations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
