Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join our Holyoke lab. Schedule Sunday - Thursday 5:00 am - 1:30 pm.

As a Laboratory Technician, you will determine specimen acceptability, perform procedures, monitor instrumentation, and ensure accurate, timely test results to support patient care. Labcorp offers opportunities for growth, continuous learning, and a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Chemical/ Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology.
• Understanding of laboratory operations and SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing.
• Perform routine and complex laboratory procedures per SOPs.
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation.
• Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.
• Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls.
• Report accurate and timely test results to support patient care.
• Perform preventative maintenance and quality control procedures.
• Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary.
• Assist with processing of specimens when needed.
• Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate PPE.

Education
