Job summary

Avera McKennan is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician to perform routine clinical lab testing with accuracy, maintain equipment and documentation, and support patient care. You will work with a multidisciplinary team ensuring reliable results and efficient operations.

Responsibilities include specimen collection, instrument calibration, quality control, data reporting, and participating in inspections and safety compliance as part of a dynamic lab team.

Qualifications

• Proficient in routine lab testing with accuracy.
• Ability to read and interpret test results.
• Strong communication with team and patients as needed.

Responsibilities

• Performs testing using established protocols with high accuracy.
• Calibrates and performs QC on instrumentation.
• Maintains proper record keeping and data reporting.
• Identifies normal vs abnormal clinical parameters.
• Collects specimens and performs phlebotomy as needed.
• Monitors inventory and ensures proper usage of supplies.
