Job summary

Avera Health is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician for the Avera 7th Avenue Clinic in Sioux Falls, SD. The role supports expeditious, accurate performance of routine laboratory tests, specimen collection, and quality control within a multidisciplinary team.

The position offers days Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, with potential to assist with Urgent Care from 5pm–9pm on weeknights and 9am–5pm on weekends. Eligible for student loan repayment and comprehensive benefits, including PTO from day one.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Transcript showing completion of Medical Laboratory Technician degree.
• Technical Certificate Transcript showing completion of Medical Laboratory Technician degree.
• Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) - AMT within 1 Year.
• Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) - ASCP within 1 Year.

Responsibilities

• Performs testing utilizing established protocol with a high degree of accuracy in all departments of the laboratory.
• Reviews, researches, interprets and reports data.
• Properly identify patients before specimen collection and explain collection procedures to patients.

Education

Medical Laboratory Technician degree

Medical Laboratory Technician degree (Technical Certificate Transcript)

AMT MLT certification (within 1 year)

ASCP MLT certification (within 1 year)
