• Demonstrates a comprehensive and thorough understanding of scientific principles and theory as they apply to laboratory testing.
• Demonstrates the technical knowledge to perform and troubleshoot all procedures within the department.
• Personnel management: participates in hiring, monitors performance, and counsels employees.
• Oversees new employee training to ensure competency in all areas of clinical laboratory testing.
• Ensures all employees complete mandatory laboratory and hospital programs.
