Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Biological Sciences, Chemistry, or Life Sciences.
• 26 science credits with appropriate experience in a CLIA laboratory.
• Master's Degree preferred.
• 3 years experience in clinical laboratory.
• Amer Soc Clinical Pathology license.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the functions of department section.
• Trains and supervises section staff.
• Ensures laboratory procedures are approved, performed correctly and reported properly.
• Affects improvements and insures quality of apparatus, equipment and materials.
• Maintains efficient record systems and performs related duties for Laboratory Services.
• Supervises staff and holds them accountable for yielding reliable patient laboratory results.
• Responsible for payroll, scheduling, budgetary restraints and inventory control.
• Must qualify under CLIA as technical supervisor.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology, Biological Sciences, Chemistry, or Life Sciences

Master's Degree preferred

3 years' experience in clinical laboratory

Amer Soc Clinical Pathology license
