Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical lab experience.
• Familiarity with patient registration, specimen handling, and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Ensures timely workflow and proper documentation across laboratory departments.
• Performs patient registration, test ordering, and verifies information for accuracy.
• Evaluates and prepares specimens with proper labeling, distribution, and storage.
• Operates and troubleshoots laboratory equipment; maintains a clean workspace.
• Monitors inventory, checks expirations, and safeguards supplies.
• Demonstrates proficiency in HIS and LIS software for job functions.
• Assists with training of new staff and completes mandatory continuing education.
• Follows PPE protocols and maintains a safe work environment.
• Adheres to approved SOPs and document control policies.
