Job summary

Appalachian Regional Healthcare (ARH) is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist/Technologist to perform manual and automated laboratory testing in the ARH Laboratory or Clinic setting. You will provide high-quality clinical information to support diagnosis, treatment, and health maintenance for ARH patients and providers.

The role requires a BS in clinical laboratory science or medical technology, certification within one year, and up to one year of related experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in clinical laboratory science/medical technology is required.
• Four-year degree or equivalent to qualify for MLS/CLS/MT certification.
• One year of current experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process specimens for testing.
• Register patients and enter orders in the LIS and look up results.
• Perform CLIA-waived, moderate and high complexity testing as trained.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked work environment and comply with HIPAA.
