Job summary

Qualifications

• : Bachelor's Degree in laboratory technology or related field.
• : One year experience in a hospital laboratory.
• : Excellent communication skills.
• : Extensive experience working with physicians and other clinicians; must have examples of successful collaborative efforts.
• : Must be able to work in a union environment.

Responsibilities

• Assures validity of test results.
• Demonstrates knowledge of Quality Control and calibration of instruments.
• Troubleshoots instruments and performs routine preventive maintenance.
• Verifies results using laboratory computer systems and downtime procedures.
• Maintains compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Participates in training of new employees.
• Communicates problems to Supervisor and supports action plans to improve performance.
