Responsibilities

In keeping with the Dignity Health core values, a CLS III (Section Head) plans, coordinates, and directs activities for the responsible section (Chemistry, Microbiology, etc.) and oversees the implementation of new procedures. The role also involves providing technical assistance and training to laboratory personnel.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of clinical laboratory experience as a Clinical Lab Scientist
• Minimum two (2) years of experience in a section of a specialty
• California Medical Technologist license (LIC CLS)

Special Skills

• Extensive knowledge of principles, procedures, and techniques of clinical laboratory analysis, especially in the section of responsibility
• Knowledge of laboratory regulatory requirements (CAP, CLIA, Joint Commission)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate across departments
• Understanding and application of adult learning principles
• Leadership and ability to direct others

$57.05 - $67.82 per hour
