NorthBay Health is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Scientist II to join our lab team in Vacaville, CA. The role involves performing, interpreting, and reporting high-complexity tests with accuracy and timeliness, under supervision and per SOPs.
You will also help train staff and may supervise technicians as needed. The ideal candidate has a BS in medical technology, California CLS license, and ASCP or equivalent, with a few years of hospital experience.
At NorthBay Health, the Clinical Laboratory Scientist II is a staff level position reporting directly to the Supervisor, Laboratory Director and the Medical Director is assigned to perform, interpret, and report accurate and timely laboratory testing in the sections of the laboratory assigned according to standard operating procedures and policies and in accordance with state and federal laboratory law. This position also may supervise technicians and other nonindependent practioners. Must be able to use critical thinking skills, make independent judgement based on knowledge of laboratory medicine and disease processes.

NorthBay Health uses a structured compensation framework. Staff-level positions use a step-based system (Steps 1–5) based on years of directly related experience, with Step 5 representing 20 or more years of experience in the role. Manager level and above positions are paid a fixed annual base salary and are eligible for a variable incentive compensation plan. Physician compensation is structured based on specialty and role requirements.
NorthBay Health is primarily an onsite organization due to the nature of healthcare. Some roles may allow hybrid or remote work based on business needs.
Remote work is not supported in Washington, Ohio, Wyoming, North Dakota, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, or outside of the United States.
